STUDENT PROGRAM...
Our highly-esteemed recruitment record has been recognized and hailed internationally. This reputation is due largely to the fact that we welcome and value the opportunity to develop students, serving as teachers and mentors in the growing world of hospitality.

Here's how it works:
Our mentor program partners you with a manager. As a student, you'll meet with your manager at least twice a month to discuss how you're progressing and answer any questions you might have about your job, the resort and the hospitality/tourism industry. Plus, mentor classes are held every Wednesday. Each department executive teaches a one-hour class on what tasks and services are provided by their respective division. It a great way to get an in-depth overview of all the resort's division.

At Mission Point Resort, we believe in recognizing and rewarding outstanding performance and promoting from within. Through our various reward programs like Associate of the Month and Staff Appreciation Days team members are given the recognition they deserve. Because of these efforts and endeavors, the entire team learns the importance of "pulling together" to better serve and please our guests.

WORKING AT MISSION POINT...
Here are a few examples of how we promote higher levels of achievement and reward a job well done:

Associate Of The Month
Managers and supervisors nominate deserving staff. Management then votes on the nominees. The nominee with the most votes becomes the Associate of the Month.

The Rewards
Nominees are invited to a luncheon held in their honor once a month and also receive lunch or dinner for two in the Round Island Bar and Grill. The Associate of the Month is awarded dinner for two in the Epicurean or the Bistro on the Greens, a special name badge, and is eligible for the Associate of the Year. Associate of the Year is chosen by the management staff from the six Associate of the Month winners. The winner receives $500 cash, free housing and food for the next season and a commemorative award.

Staff Appreciation Day
Our monthly Staff Appreciation Day features special menus in the Employee Cafeteria where the Management Staff serves food and drinks. There are door prizes given away at each meal.

On-Site Housing
Mission Point Resort offers on-site housing to all staff members for a weekly charge of $85.00, which includes:
Three meals a day are served in the newly renovated Employee Cafeteria
Cable television
Television rooms with VCR's
Game room
Vending machines
Laundry facilities
Security

Discounts are offered to employees and their families for rooms and a 25% discount on food in each of the resort's four restaurants as well as the gift shop.
