Bridal Show and Mother’s Day Brunch

Join us for the 10th Annual Mission Point Resort Bridal Show on Sunday, May 11th, 2008 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. All you need to plan a memorable Mackinac Wedding is under one roof: Meet with local vendors; meet with our professional event & catering staff; view our lovely function spaces; and enjoy beautiful Mission Point Resort. Tickets are only $15 per person, and are available at the door. Overnight accommodations are available for only $99.00 per room, per night

Memorial Day Weekend Beer Tasting at Mission Point Resort
May 24th-26th
Join us on the patio at the Round Island Bar and Grill as Budwiser wraps up their celebration of beer event. Last years event drew huge crowds for the showing of the Budwiser Clydesdales on our front Lawn at Mission Point. Join us in the Round Island Bar and Grill for beer and food specials specials all weekend!

Lobby Wine Bar
Tuesdays-Saturdays June 3rd – September 28th 3-5pm
Enjoy our featured wine selections from right here in Michigan and around the world in the comfort of our spectacular atrium lobby. Relax by our stone fireplaces, read a book in our nearby library or sit above our lobby and overlook the expansive and massive pine beams and take in the history that is Mission Point.

Wine Tasting Seminars
Tuesday’s – Saturdays June 3rd  - September 28th at 4pm
This is an elegant but relaxed approach to wine tatsing. Your “Wine Host” will guide you through tastings of various wines along tapas for your edification and enjoyment. $20 per person includes a $5 discount coupon to use on any bottle or glass of wine at any of our resorts restaurants during your stay.

Afternoon Tea
Tuesdays-Saturdays June 3rd – September 28th 3-5pm
Delight in an afternoon respite of selected teas, finely cut sanwiches, pastries and sweets served above the lobby. Relax and enjoy the spectacular pine beans, stone fireplaces and history of the Main Lobby. It is one of the most distinctive architectural structures on the Island. Nine ton majestic trusses, converging at a height of 36 feet, resemble a 16 sided tepee. This structure fulfills the Indian prophecy that "Someday, on the east end of the Island, a great tepee will be erected. All nations will come there and learn about peace."

Epicurean Wine Dinner
Enjoy the finest dining experience on the island while sampling and learning about our featured wines by the glass. This Prix Fix menu includes wine parings with each of the three courses. Your server will guide you through each course as you enjoy the stylings of our resident pianist, John Kissiane and the ambiance that is The Epicurean. $75 per person

Epicurean Garden Experience
The perfect romantic getaway can only be enhanced with an exquisitely prepared and presented five course dinner in our secluded organic “Herb Garden”. Your “Experience” begins with an amuse’ especially prepared by our Chef then continues with a seasonal starter course followed by your soup and salad courses, main entrée and tantalizing decant dessert! A bottle of Mission Point Wine compliments the entire evening. $195 per couple

Dinner and a Movie
Enjoy an evening of great food and cinema every Monday during high season. Your evening starts with dinner in the popular Round Island Bar & Grill with its new menu featuring American classics fused with Michigan flair. Order any “Big Plate” entrée and receive one adult ticket to that night’s movie! Kids can order any ‘Kids Meal” to get their free ticket. Then it’s off to the Mission Point Theatre, the only theater on the island that shows first run feature films every Monday at 9:00 pm in season! Your Dinner and Movie evening also includes a complimentary bag of popcorn simply by showing your dinner receipt. Stop by the concession stand to pick one up, find your favorite seat, sit back and enjoy the movie!

Sunday Night is Sushi Night
Take your tastes buds on a vaction from the ordinary and join us in the Epicurean for an unforgetable evening! This once a week event held only during high season features a special menu of sushi, sashimi and more along with our seaonal menu of exceptional regionally inspired steaks, seafood and salads. Reservations are strongly suggested.

Bistro on the Greens Entertainment 2008
Once again, the Bistro on the Greens is proud to bring you some of Michigans most popular performers featuring John Lamb, Nelson Olstrom and others this season. Our entertainment schedule begins the first week of June and continues through out the season until the first week of September. You will not find a more dramatic view of the Straits of Mackinac with its passing Freighters from around the world. Come enjoy the food, service and views with entertaiment begining at 6:00 pm on the deck Mondays – Saturdays.

2nd Annual Food Beer and Wine Festival
Sunday July 6th.
This family friendly event features beer and wine tastings from Michigan’s finest breweries and wineries along with international wines and food samples from Mission Point Resorts own restaurants including the Epicurean, Round Island Bar & Grill, Bistro on the Greens, Lakeside Marketplace and selections from our Banquet and Catering menu. Admissions is only $5 per person, children 12 & under are free! There will be Family Token Packages, Tower Museum Admission Discounts, Executive Putting Course Discounts as well as kid’s games, a clown and a strolling magician along with our own Mac the Moose!

We are proud to have local Northern Michigan musicians John D. Lamb and The Wild Blue Reunion performing, featuring the Myk Rise Band with Oni Werth and Bill Newland.

"Mr Art Critic" Movie Premiere
July 11th & 12th Mission Point Theater
Show times for ‘Mr. Art Critic’ are 7pm and 9pm both nights; the 7pm screening on the 11th is officially the premiere.  Many of the cast and crew members will be in attendance.
