Dear Mission Point Management:

I would like to take a moment and thank you for all the wonderful memories that Mission Point Resort has given my wife and I over the years. It is an escape that we look forward to every year, and each time we leave we cannot wait to come back again.

We were married at Ste. Anne's Catholic Church on September 18, 2004 and our reception was at the Cyprus Room in Mission Point.

All of our guests stayed at the Resort with us for the weekend of our wedding, and to this day everyone who was invited says that it was the most beautiful and romantic wedding they have ever attended. In truth, I cannot disagree. The weather was quintessential Michigan fall, with warm, breezy sunny days and cool nights. The carriage ride after the ceremony was like a fairy tale, and the view of the Straights of Mackinac from the outdoor balcony in the Cyprus Room at our reception was picturesque. The food and the top shelf outdoor bars were praised by all. It is a time I often wish I could travel back to and re-live again, which I do every time I step into the lobby of the Resort, and walk the grounds holding hands with my wife. It is the place where we hope our chidren will be married, and a destination wedding that was one of the highlights of my life. My wife and I have traveled quite extensively over the years, and there is no where else that I would rather have had my wedding.

Even before our wedding we came to the Island often, and usually stayed at Mission Point, but now it is a tradition to go back to the Resort for at least a few weekends every summer. I am happy to say we are coming back up again this year for the Friday and Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, on May 23 - 24, and we are staying in the same specialty suite where we spent our honeymoon. I cannot wait to watch the sunrise, and listen to the sound of horses walking the streets in the morning, and the distant, soft clang of that buoy bell on the lake. Even the thought of these simple memories takes me back to a place that my wife and I shall return annually for the rest of our lives.

I have never taken the time to say thank you before, but I just wanted to let you know that Mission Point will always hold a special place in our hearts, and we look forward to being your guests once again. Whenever we had a problem with anything at the Resort it was addressed quickly and professionally. The staff has always been extremely professional, friendly, and genuinely kind. I look forward to arriving again next month. Please keep up the good work.
