Historic Fort Mackinac
History comes alive at Fort Mackinac. This formerly active Revolutionary War fort, built in 1780, preserves the important and strategic military role of Mackinac Island throughout history. The Fort is open daily for live programs, tours, exhibits, hourly cannon firings and a view that cannot be missed.
