  • Kristen Kaselitz

    Kristen Kaselitz

    Sales Manager - SMERF Markets

    Born and raised in Detroit, Kristen looked forward to spending summers in northern Michigan. A graduate of Michigan State University’s top-rated School of Hospitality Business, Kristen joined the Mission Point sales team in December 2017 and since representing Mission Point, has enjoyed the opportunity to work with governmental agencies, group tour markets, reunions and more sharing her passion for Mackinac Island and Mission Point.

    Kristen is a stickler for details and positive experiences. You will find her friendly personality and commitment welcoming as you build the perfect program together.

    Prior to joining Mission Point, Kristen spent 5 years with Marriott Hotels and Resorts, where she was able to hone her skills in hospitality and grow into her role as a sales leader. 

    Personally, Kristen has been an avid foodie since her youth and loves any opportunities to cook for her friends and family. She is the youngest of eight siblings and the proud (and favorite) aunt to 12 nieces and nephews, so she is certain not short on taste testers!

    Debbie Denyer

    Senior Sales Manager - Association Markets

    Debbie has represented Mission Point Resort for over seven years and specializes in assisting local, state, and national associations. Since graduating from Michigan State University in 1996, she has built her career in hospitality by communicating openly and honestly and being reliable to those depending on her. Debbie is passionate about sharing with guests all the peace, beauty and fun that Mission Point, Mackinac Island has to offer.

    As an active member of Michigan Society of Association Executives (MSAE) and the Michigan Chapter of the Society of Government Meeting Professionals (MiSGMP) as well as a Past President and a past Vice President of Education for Meeting Professionals International, Michigan Chapter (MMPI), Debbie is always on the cutting edge of meeting and conference trends. Currently, Debbie is a Chair person of the Education Special Interest Group for Association Forum, Chicago's association of associations.

    Her motto is "the harder you work, the luckier you get.” Debbie resides in the Metro Detroit area with her wonderful husband and two young children, Ellen and Ryan. She also has a love for her black labs, Otis and Lilly.

    CMP National Sales Manager - Corporate Markets

    Leah joined the Mission Point Resort sales team in March 2015. She handles our Corporate and Incentive market segments. Her past experience includes working for BOYNE Resorts for 13+ years as a National Sales Manager. Leah received her certification as a Certified Meeting Professional in January of 2014.

    Leah has brought her enthusiasm for sales along with her outdoor active lifestyle to the Mission Point family. She enjoys a multitude of activities including kayaking, boating, skiing, snowshoeing, and going for walks with her Great Dane. Her dedication, customer service and knowledge along with her desire to strengthen old relationships and create new, makes Leah a great asset to our team.

    Paul Brown

    Director of Sales and Business Development

    Paul has enjoyed a successful hotel sales leadership career both within and outside of Michigan.  In addition to ten years with Grand Hotel, he was also instrumental in launching Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort.  Prior to Mission Point, Paul was most recently overseeing the sales and marketing efforts of Wyndham Virginia Crossings Hotel & Conference Center in Richmond, VA. 

    Paul is responsible for leading all sales related efforts at Mission Point as well as seeking out new opportunities for the resort.  Paul joined Mission Point in June, 2017 and is pleased to once again be working in the Michigan resort market.  He holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from Florida International University’s Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management.

    Wedding Sales Manager

    Kate grew up in Hessel, MI not far from one of her favorite places in the world, Mackinac Island.  Having worked in her family’s business, she was heavily involved in sales and customer service in addition to volunteer activities including planning the famous Hessel Boat Show.  She was recruited to join Mission Point in January 2016, beginning her hospitality career as the resort's Executive Assistant and quickly moved to PR & Marketing.

     As Mission Point’s Wedding Sales Manager, families are put at ease with Kate’s attention to detail, professionalism and bubbly personality. She understands the experiential and personal nature of weddings and will successfully guide you through the nuances of weddings at Mission Point on beautiful Mackinac Island.  For Kate, helping you with your wedding is her absolute “dream job” and once you meet her, you will know why.

     A graduate of Michigan State University in East Lansing, Kate is an avid Spartan Football fan and animal lover who enjoys spending her time on the lake with her Mini Australian Shepherd rescue, Pesci.
