Being located on an island with no cars, one of the most common questions is 'How do I get there?'  It's easier than you think! Once on the island you may take a taxi, ride on the Mackinac Island Carriage Tours shuttle servicing Mission Point, or enjoy the short 15 minute walk. Please keep in mind that the Taxi Shuttle Service is $6.50 per adult.

By Air

Fresh Air Aviation and Great Lakes Air offer air passenger service to Mackinac Island, departing from the Mackinac County Airport in St. Ignace. A taxi to Mission Point can be arranged to meet you at the airport on Mackinac Island. If you're flying into the area, we recommend Pellston Regional Airport (PLN), the closest and most convenient to Mackinaw City, which offers daily nonstop service to Detroit on Delta Airlines.

By Ferry

The most common way to travel to Mackinac Island is by ferry. We recommend Shepler's Mackinac Ferry, which offers departures from Mackinaw City and St. Ignace on the mainlandGuests are also welcome to take Star Line Mackinac Island Ferry, which offers departures from Mackinaw City and St. Ignace as well. Our baggage handling fee covers transporting your luggage from the dock directly to your room. Once on the island, you may take our horse-drawn shuttle service, a private taxi or enjoy the short walk to the resort.
